Description

Every vast system is made up of groups of tinier parts and components that have specific functions and purposes. The human body, for example, is a huge hierarchy of body systems, organs, tissues, and cells (the most basic unit). This course will discuss the structure and functions of the human cell. This course will start off with the outer protective cover called the cell membrane. It will then move on with the structures that make up the cell called organelles such as the Nucleus, Mitochondria, Ribosomes, Lysosomes, Centrioles, Golgi apparatus, and Endoplasmic reticulum.
